Driving Directions
Tosohatchee State Reserve is located on Taylor
Creek Road in Christmas (east of Orlando).
Heading east on State Road 50, turn right on Taylor
Creek Road and proceed three (3) miles to the
park entrance on your left.
From State Road 528 (Bee-line), take the State
Road 520 exit and go north on State Road 520 approximately
one (1) mile, turn right on Taylor Creek Road
and proceed approximately two (2) miles to park
entrance on right.
Hours of Operation
Florida state parks are open from 8 a.m. until
sundown 365 days a year.
Shaped by alternating cycles of fire and flood,
the Tosohatchee State Reserve is a mosaic of freshwater
marshes, swamps, pine flatwoods and hardwood hammocks.
Varied and unique plant communities support abundant
wildlife, including rare and endangered species.

Bicycling, Primitive Camping, Youth Camping,
Fishing, Horse Trails, Hunting, Nature Trails,
and Wildlife Viewing
Hunting
Hunting is permitted on Tosohatchee with the appropriate
licenses, stamps and permits. The 2001-2002 schedule
of hunts on Tosohatchee is as follows:
1. Archery: September 27-30, October 4-7
2. Muzzle-Loading Gun: October 11-14, October
18-21
3. Modern gun: November 15-18, November 23-25
4. Feral Hog: January 11-17, January 25-31
5. Spring Turkey: March 16-18, March 29-31, April
12-14
